And with it, came the Sandhills Development Bundle deal which gives you all current plugins under the Sandhills Development group (Easy Digital Downloads, Restrict Content Pro, AffiliateWP, Sugar Calendar and WP Simple Pay) for a discounted price of USD 2.6k
Also, if you have purchased licenses to some of these plugins, your overall cost will be lower as these past purchases are factored in.
After EDD’s move last year from being an extensions marketplace to developing and selling their own extensions via an all-access pass license, this move is a pleasant surprise.
Heck, me and my friends in the WPStarters Grow Group were all excited about the lifetime license. Some liked it while the others felt the USD 1.5k was expensive.
For me? It felt like Christmas came early.
While I always been eyeing an EDD license, the cost was prohibitive. Especially when I was still new in the WordPress freelance world. Would I have a client that needed EDD? Also, what could I do with EDD that I could not already do with WooCommerce?
Furthermore, I do own a comprehensive set of lifetime grandfathered WooCommerce licenses.
But EDD does a number of things brilliantly. Like EDD Recurring Payments. With that extension alone, I will be able to run a WordPress Maintenance business. And not be late in issuing invoices to clients.
The comprehensive Easy Digital Downloads review is coming soon. I’ve been researching EDD’s integration with major WordPress plugins, and will publish the review soon.
If you are on the fence, please get yourself a copy of EDD before the deal is over. With version 3.0 on the horizon, the plugin will see drastic performance improvements as well as increased extensibility.
